Recently as we have all had to move from analog to digital reception for our televisions we have needed to re-tune our TV receiver, some of us more than once!! If we hadn’t bothered soon our screen would have gone blank.
Do we spend time each day tuning into God together so that the picture for the day will be clear and bright? It might even mean that we will have to adjust our aerial making sure we are pointing in the right direction – towards God. We may have to do this again during the day if we feel we are out of tune with Him, when interference might have broken in.
Prayer (as a couple)
Father help us both to tune into you each day and retune as often as necessary during the day to reduce any interference that gets in the way of our relationship with you which can distort the picture we have of your plans for the day. Encourage us to have our hearts pointing (reaching out) towards you each day. Amen
Prayer (for others)
Father _____ and _____ always seem to be so busy and out of peace, we wonder if they are spending any time tuning into you. Please break in like a notice on their TV saying – ‘please tune in again to receive spirit filled life’
