For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 (NLT)
Comment
I love the autumn especially the changing colours of leaves on the trees. As I was walking in the woods the other day I reflected on the falling leaves swirling all around me.
Scripture came to mind, reminding me that there is a season for everything. I felt God’s whisper: “is there anything you need to let go?”
I reflected on this and realized that I was tightly wound by circumstances that were completely beyond my control which were robbing me of my peace.
My lack of peace was affecting me and my husband. I prayed to let it go and let God take control.
The good thing is that we can take anything affecting us and/or our marriages to God in prayer. As we let go we can let God take over. HE can change us, our thinking and the way we feel.
Is there something which is robbing you of your peace which you need to let go?
This week talk to your husband or wife about anything that is on your mind that’s bothering you and then pray together to ask God to help you deal with it.
Prayer (as a couple)
Almighty God, we praise you for being Lord and Ruler over ALL things. We lift up to you … and ask you to help us let go. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Prayer (for others)
Almighty God, we pray for … and … Please help them let go of stress and anxiety and fill them with your peace. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Final Quote
