Moses’ father-in-law replied, ‘What you are doing is not good. You and these people who come to you will only wear yourselves out. The work is too heavy for you; you cannot handle it alone.’ Exodus 18:17-18 NIV

Individually and as a couple, we love people; we love talking, listening, advising, hanging out, helping, laughing with, rescuing, entertaining, problem solving, and generally making cake for anyone who would like it! It’s our passion!
But sometimes we can find ourselves putting others above our own relationship. Our diary gets full up and we forget to put in time for each other.
In last week’s ePrayer we talked about the 5 Languages of Love and it’s good to remember that Quality Time is also a love language. It’s vital to spend quality time with each other to build up our relationship and keep connected.
Ask each other – are we spending true QUALITY time together? Are we spending enough QUALITY time together?
Prayer (as a couple)
Lord, thank you for the passions you give us. Help us in the busyness to keep prioritising each other and please bless our quality time together. Amen.
Prayer (for others)
Lord, we pray for _____ and _____ who seem too busy to spend any time together. Give them a desire to spend more time together and really bless that time. Amen
