Scripture
Get the word out. Teach all these things. And don’t let anyone put you down. Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanour, by love, by faith, by integrity. Stay at your post reading Scripture, giving counsel, teaching. And that special gift of ministry you were given when the leaders of the church laid hands on you and prayed—keep that dusted off and in use.
Cultivate these things. Immerse yourself in them. The people will all see you mature right before their eyes! Keep a firm grasp on both your character and your teaching. Don’t be diverted. Just keep at it. Both you and those who hear you will experience salvation. 1 Timothy 4: 12-16 MSG

What has God called you to as couple? Do you have a special ministry together? If not have you considered one?
It could be anything from welcoming people into your home, parenting/fostering children, leading a home group together, financially supporting people, getting involved in mission, mentoring another couple, to simply praying for people together.
Whatever it is Paul urges us to cultivate it! In fact the emphasis is heads down & keep going, ignoring distractions & persevering so that people can see God at work in us and that’s even more powerful in a married couple working together!
Are you fully using the gifts God’s given you as a couple?
Prayer (as a couple)
Lord Jesus, thank you for the gifts you’ve given us, help us to make using them a priority & nudge us about any gifts we need to cultivate more. Amen
Prayer (for others)
Lord Jesus, we pray for ______ and ____. You’ve also given them such amazing gifts. Please strengthen them & empower them in your name. Amen
Final Thought
Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction. Antoine de Saint-Exupery
