About 10 years into our marriage my “Ph.D. in psychopharmacology research” husband set up his own building company with all the attendant risk and stress. I did ask myself if I had signed up for that!
But I did of course – for better for worse etc etc We were on a journey of faith where we had to trust God and trust each other. Faith works both ways. We trust God and he trusts us – that we will be faithful and loyal. All these words have the same Greek root. Day by day we work out our faith in God and our faith in each other. We learn what loyalty/faith in each other means.
We sign up to being a child of God when we start our Christian journey of faith. The benefits are security, hope, forgiveness, protection, companionship with God in our life and much more as well as challenges on the way!

Father God We trust you to be faithful to us in our journey with you. Help us to be faithful and loyal to each other even through difficult change, Amen

Lord. We pray for our friends going through upheaval in their lives. Help them to keep faith with each other and with you and grow stronger on the journey Amen
