Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Comment

Trust is the foundation of a healthy relationship — and yet, it’s not something we build once and forget about. It’s something we keep tending.

There are seasons when trust flows easily. And there are seasons when it’s been shaken — by unmet expectations, poor communication, or deeper wounds. Rebuilding trust takes time, tenderness, and truth-telling. But it’s possible.

We’ve learned that trust grows when we show up with honesty, keep our promises, and respond with grace. It’s the quiet consistency that slowly says, “You’re safe with me.”

Reflection

Are there areas where trust between you feels strong? Are there places it’s been shaken or needs healing?

Prayer (as a couple)

Lord, help us to trust you — and each other. Where our trust has been bruised, bring healing. Teach us to be safe places for each other again. Amen.

Prayer (for another couple)

We pray for _____ and _____ — may truth, tenderness, and time rebuild what’s been broken. Help them to trust again. Amen.

Final quote

Trust is built in the small moments — when we show up, stay kind, and keep choosing love.
