The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10
Comment
Life as a couple can so easily become functional — sorting logistics, paying bills, managing routines. But we weren’t made for just surviving together. We were made for living — for shared moments of adventure and joy.
Adventure doesn’t have to mean backpacking or cliff diving (though it might!). It might be learning something new together, planning a weekend escape, exploring a new walk, or just getting out of your comfort zone for a shared laugh.
We’ve found that shared adventure reminds us that we’re not just co-managers of a life — we’re co-creators of it.
Reflection
What would “adventure” look like for you right now? Is there something new you could do together, even if it’s small or silly?
Prayer (as a couple)
Lord, help us to live with a sense of wonder. Remind us to step out of routine and into joy. May we discover new sides of each other through shared adventure. Amen.
Prayer (for another couple)
We pray for _____ and _____ — stir up creativity and courage in them. May they rediscover what it’s like to have fun together. Amen.
Final quote
Marriage is the greatest adventure you can take — if you keep choosing to explore it.
