Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Psalm 103:1-5 NIV

We’re trying to read this Psalm together without singing Matt Redmond’s song 10000 Reasons but it’s impossible! The words in this Psalm make us want to sing out & thank God for all he is and all he’s done for us. Maybe having a singsong together isn’t our regular thing but it’s good to be thankful to God
It’s not always easy, this last season of lockdown and virus has been SO difficult and traumatic for so many people. However awful our situation may be though, it can be helpful to turn our thoughts to what God has done for us.
Let’s take some time together to be thankful to God for things he has done in this last season. Why not write them down and see how many you get to?
Prayer (as a couple)
Father God, we want to praise you with our inmost being, for all you are to us and all you do for us. Thank you God. Amen
Prayer (for others)
Father, we pray for ______ and _______ help them see some hope in this time of difficulty. Please remind them of all you are to them right now. Amen.
Final Quote
I thank you, Lord, with all my heart; I sing praise to you before the gods.
I face your holy Temple, bow down, and praise your name
because of your constant love and faithfulness, because you have shown that your name and your commands are supreme.
You answered me when I called to you; with your strength you strengthened me.
