All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,” 2 Timothy 3:16 NIV
Comment
I read with interest an article in the Times titled ‘Marriage Masterclass’ written by a journalist (who states he’s an atheist) about the Marriage Course which he attended.
It was clearly a good and life changing experience. He writes “I can truthfully say it feels like the start of a journey…” and expands on how helpful the course was.
It seems that when we put God’s word into practice in our relationships good things happen. It seems that when couples attend marriage enrichment events they are blessed.
What areas of your life would benefit from applying God’s principles? Looking forward – how can you put God’s word into practice in a new way.
Prayer (as a couple)
Dear Father, Thank you for your word and the life that it brings when we apply it. Help _____ and I to apply it in a new way today. In particular we lift up _____ (specific situation) to you and ask you to help us to recognise how you want us to think and behave and help us make choices that please you. For we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen
Prayer (for others)
What’s God encouraging you to pray for another couple this week? Could you signpost them to trying a marriage enrichment event? Find more details here.
Final quote
“Even our children have noticed a difference” (quote from a couple attending a marriage course)
