Scripture

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him. Romans 15:13

Comment

Every marriage faces seasons where hope feels thin — when nothing seems to change, when prayers feel unanswered, or when you feel stuck in patterns you don’t know how to break.

Hope isn’t just wishful thinking. It’s the steady belief that God isn’t finished with us yet. Even when we can’t see the way forward, we can hold onto his promise of life, joy, and renewal.

We’ve found that when we share our hopes with each other — even fragile ones — it helps us keep moving forward together.

Reflection

What is one area of your relationship where you long for hope right now?

Prayer suggestion (as a couple)

Take a moment to each share a hope you have, and pray briefly for one another. You might simply say: “God, I lift up my partner’s hope for ___.”

Prayer suggestion (for another couple)

Think of another couple you know who may be struggling, and ask God to breathe hope into their relationship.

Final quote

Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all the darkness. Desmond Tutu
