There is a time for everything… a time to keep and a time to throw away. Ecclesiastes 3:1, 6

Comment

Autumn invites us to notice the balance between holding on and letting go. The trees don’t cling to their leaves — they release them, trusting that new life will come in its season.

In relationships, we sometimes need that same courage. There are things worth holding tightly to — commitment, faithfulness, shared dreams. And there are things to let go of — old hurts, unhelpful habits, or the need to always be right.

Letting go doesn’t mean giving up. It means making room for something new to grow.

Reflection

What might you need to hold onto more tightly right now — and what might be time to release?

Prayer suggestion (as a couple)

Ask God to help you know what to keep and what to let go of in this season.

Prayer suggestion (for another couple)

Pray for a couple who seem weighed down — that they would find freedom in letting go and peace in holding on to what truly matters.

Final quote

Sometimes when you let go of what you can’t control, you make space for what you were meant to receive.
