Valentine’s day came and went. What is different?
Sometimes our communication gets blocked. We try to connect but we feel stuck and can’t get through to each other. When this happens in our relationship with God it’s usually because sin blocks the way.
Perhaps that is also the case in my relationship with my partner. Have my actions or words offended him/her? Repentance and forgiveness is the way to deal with sin but it isn’t a quick fix or an easy option.
What do I need to do to unblock the drain? What can we do together?
Prayer (as a couple)
Lord God, thank you for teaching us the way of repentance and forgiveness. I admit that I am selfish and thoughtless at times. Lord, help us to be brave and explore any blocked areas in our communication. Holy Spirit, please come and show us where we need forgiveness and grace. Help us persevere until we get through to each other. Help us be willing to listen, humble ourselves and forgive each other. Amen
