Encourage one another and build each other up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Comment

Appreciation breathes life into a relationship. It reminds us that we’re seen, valued, and loved. Yet over time, we can forget to say the simple words that mean so much.

We’ve noticed that appreciation grows strongest when it’s specific — when we name the small things, like the cup of tea made without asking, the way they handled a tough moment, or the kindness they showed to someone else.

When gratitude becomes a habit, connection deepens.

Reflection

What is something about your partner that you’ve appreciated recently but haven’t said out loud?

Prayer suggestion (as a couple)

Take turns thanking God for one quality you appreciate in each other.

Prayer suggestion (for another couple)

Pray for a couple who might be feeling unseen — that they would notice and affirm the good in one another.

Final quote

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”William Arthur Ward
