Some went out on the sea in ships; they were merchants on the mighty waters……. In their peril their courage melted away …. They were at their wits end. He stilled the storm to a whisper They were glad when it grew calm and He guided them to their desired haven. Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love… in the assembly of the people….. Psalm 107:23-32

Most of us have experienced scary circumstances. Often it is in looking back at it later that we really see what God did for us!
God has redeemed my life many times from various disasters. BUT I easily forget and get afraid TODAY when my life rocks under my feet and the future is threatened. That’s when we need faith. How can we build that faith?
Rehearsing what God has done for us in our lives helps convince us that God is faithful!
Can you take courage and share your story with others – another couple or a group of friends?
Prayer (as a couple)
Lord as we grow older together may we grow mature in our faith so that whatever happens, our hearts are confident in your steadfast love. Show us how to share our “redemption stories” so that our friends and our children may be assured of your love and your power Lord. Amen
Prayer (for others)
Pray for your parents or mentors
Thank God for their example and for their life stories
OR pray that a family member or friend will start to see God’s hand as He has worked in their past and present.
Final quote
Let the one who is wise heed these things and ponder the loving deeds of the Lord. Psalm 107 v 43
