The other day I saw a picture that made me think about God as our source of love in a new way. It was one of those towers made up of glasses stacked on top of one another and champagne was being poured into the top one, overflowing from this glass and filling the ones beneath it. The picture reminded me that in order to love with God’s ‘agape’ love I need to receive it FIRST from HIM and then let it overflow to others.
How easy do we find it to receive love from God? What are the things that make it difficult?
Prayer (as a couple)
Dear Lord, we thank you that you are our loving Heavenly Father. Please pour your love into our hearts through the power of your Holy Spirit and let that love overflow to each other and to those around us. Help us also to identify and deal with any blockages to receiving love from you so that your love fills our marriage afresh. Amen

Dear Lord, thank you that you are a loving Heavenly Father to all people, whether they know you or not. We pray for _____ and _____ and ask that you pour your love into their hearts through the power fo your Holy Spirit. Help them to deal with any blockages so that they can receive your love and it fills their marriage afresh. Amen
