He leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. Psalm 23:2–3
Comment
There are times when life doesn’t follow a clear rhythm — when the usual patterns soften and things feel less defined. These spaces can feel strange at first, especially if we’re used to structure and routine.
Yet “between rhythms” can also be a place of quiet restoration. Without the usual pace, there’s an opportunity to slow down, to notice what we need, and to be a little more present with each other.
Nothing has to be decided here. Nothing has to be fixed. It’s simply a moment to breathe before the next season begins.
Reflection
How might you allow yourselves to slow down, even slightly, in this in-between time?
Prayer suggestion (as a couple)
Invite God to bring rest and refreshment as your usual rhythms shift.
Prayer suggestion (for another couple)
Pray for a couple who feel unsettled — that they would find calm in the pause.
Final quote
In the spaces between, we are often quietly restored.
