“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
Comment
As this season deepens, we may become more aware of what feels heavy — grief that hasn’t lifted, tensions that remain, questions without answers. Our instinct is often to fix, distract, or move on quickly.
Yet there are moments when love invites us simply to hold what is hard. Not to solve it. Not to make it better. Just to stay present — with compassion, patience, and care.
In relationships, this kind of holding can be deeply intimate. It creates space where pain is not rushed and where no one has to carry things alone.
Reflection
What feels heavy for you right now?
How might you hold it together, without trying to fix it?
Prayer suggestion (as a couple)
Ask God to help you carry one another’s burdens with gentleness and love.
Prayer suggestion (for another couple)
Pray for a couple walking through sorrow or strain — that they would feel supported and not alone.
Final quote
“Sometimes love looks like staying with what hurts.”
