Come to me, all you who are weary… and I will give you rest.Matthew 11:28
Comment
New seasons can bring pressure — to get organised, to be productive, to make a fresh start. But not everything needs to begin with intensity.
Sometimes the kindest way forward is to start gently. To take things one step at a time. To allow space for adjustment, rather than expecting immediate clarity or momentum.
In relationships, gentleness creates room for grace — for ourselves and for each other.
Reflection
What would it look like to begin this season with gentleness rather than pressure?
Prayer suggestion (as a couple)
Ask God to help you move into this season with peace and kindness toward each other.
Prayer suggestion (for another couple)
Pray for a couple feeling overwhelmed — that they would find ease as they begin again.
Final quote
You don’t have to begin perfectly — you just have to begin gently.
