Scripture

Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate.  For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.  James 1:12 MSG

Comment

Our daughter has sat her final GCSE exam, finished school and now set her body alarm clock to sleep 12am-12pm. When awake she flops next to us for chats at random times (we both work from home). These are precious moments but it also feels like creative opportunities for intimacy between us as husband & wife have disappeared, as we never know when we will be totally alone. We are in a season of change! What about you? Newly wed? Up to your eyeballs in small children? Getting used to a quiet house with children departed? Or a newly retired overflow of time together? The verse we’ve used may seem a little over dramatic but these situations can divide us or we can meet them head-on & creatively work together embracing the change.

Are you working together on any changes going on right now?

Prayer (as a couple)

Lord Jesus, Please help us find quality time for each other in this season that we’re in. Amen

Prayer (for others)

Dear Father, we pray for ____ and ____ and for other couples in our community. May you give each of them a new spirit of knowledge and dependence on you. May you give them the wisdom to know when to take action and when to pray and leave things with you. Amen

Final Thought

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.  Wayne Dyer
