It’s looking likely that things are going to shift a bit on the lockdown front. Whilst most of us are eager for the lockdown to be lifted, we know realistically we are not going back to ‘normal’ and actually it’s a case of adjusting to a new ’normal’. Change can be difficult and bring anxiety so it’s important as we go into the next season, that we are kind to each other.
It’s likely that we will still be spending a lot of time in the same space as each other so we need to ensure we’re intentionally ‘bearing with’ each other and not letting grudges build up.
We’re human, it’s natural that we’re going to irritate each other, we’re going to mess up and forget things that are important to our partner. Communicating will help but forgiveness is key. If each day we can intentionally choose to forgive quickly our irritations will be kept in check and we can thrive.

Prayer (for others)
Pray for another couple who you know are struggling with this season.

Next week is UK National Marriage Week 2020. The theme this year is the ‘Forever Conversation’. For unmarried couples, there’s a challenge of talking about committing to a long term relationship and for married couples, it’s about what do we need to do to make our marriage last forever?
Check out the Marriage Week website for some fantastic blog posts & resources.
