We must work while it is day; night is coming when no one can work. John 9 v 4

The COVID pandemic has shocked the world. There have been many funerals and it’s been really tough to not be able to pay our respects to departed loved ones. Their funeral will have featured many tributes – but sadly those husbands, wives, mothers, fathers and friends, will never hear those words of appreciation because they have gone and it’s too late.
So don’t wait until Valentine’s day – do it now!
Flowers are lovely; but words are potent.
Could you take time to consider what you love and appreciate about your partner? Then either tell them, or write it down in a note or a card. There will never be a better time! They need to know!
Prayer (as a couple)
This week pray together after you have taken time to consider why you love and appreciate your partner. Each of you could give thanks to God for your precious partner e.g. …
Father thank you so much for _____ I love his wonderful caring eyes and that he listens to me when I’m in a bad mood about work. Thank you for giving me such a kind partner to share my life. Help me to express my love often, Amen
Prayer (for others)
Lord we want to pray for our family. We are often quick to criticize and slower to appreciate. Help us find ways to change that, and we pray that your Holy Spirit will inspire us all to love each other and express this in creative ways. Lord help us to extend to our wider family during this year. Amen
Final quote
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. 1 John 4 v 7 NLT
