In his wisdom God made us physical and sensual. His desire for us is that we retain our desire for our partner and enjoy each other physically. This is usually easy early on in our relationships but can get problematic later. Amongst other things stuff like un-forgiveness can get in the way or we can pull back from one another because we fear anger, rejection, failure.
Yet physical intimacy is an important part of our relationships.
Why not talk about this? What could you and your partner do to further please each other?
Prayer as a couple
Dear Lord, you created us to enjoy one another physically and sex is an important part of a healthy relationship. Help me to understand what I can to to please …. (partner’s name). Amen.
Prayer for others
Deal Lord, we lift up … and … to you. Help them to intentionally please one another physically. May their sex life please you and strengthen their relationship. Amen.
