This last couple of weeks in the UK the temperature has dropped considerably, the sun is already setting earlier, exam results are out and there is a feeling of holidays drawing to a close. For many change is in the air, some may have children changing years, schools, colleges, moving onto or out of uni, others may be settling back into work routines after holidays. We often write in January about the desire for a fresh start, for the new year to be different but this feeling of unsettlement can come now too, for some a reluctance to go back to what was before or a resistance to ‘the same old routine’. And this is particularly true as we are still in a season where things are unsettled and we don’t know what the ‘new normal’ looks like.
Why not take some time to pray together about what this next season holds for each of you? What are your hopes and desires? If you desire change how can you make that happen?
And ultimately let’s once again commit ourselves to trusting God’s plan for us.
