Being present together

Be still, and know that I am God.Psalm 46:10?

Comment?

Summer often gives us opportunities to slow down — even if only slightly. Yet it’s still easy to be distracted, half-present, or thinking about what’s next.

Being present with each other is one of the simplest and most meaningful gifts we can offer. It doesn’t require big plans or perfect conditions — just attention.

A shared cup of tea, a walk, a conversation without phones nearby — these small moments of presence build connection in ways we often underestimate.

Reflection

Where could you create a small moment of undistracted presence together this week?

Prayer suggestion (as a couple)

Ask God to help you slow down and be fully present with one another.

Prayer suggestion (for another couple)

Pray for a couple who feel disconnected — that they would find simple ways to reconnect.

Final quote

Presence is the purest form of generosity.
