Comment

Getting my head around what Jesus did on the Cross stretches me, it is a journey. It’s good to read scripture and to dwell on it (and I wish I did it more often). It makes me think how much Jesus must have loved his Father and us to have gone through what he did. It would appear that us humans, you and I have an immense value to Jesus and to God and that regaining access with God is priceless. It sounds like extremely good news! What difference does it make to you?

Prayer (as a couple)

Dear Lord, On this day may we remember what you have done for us. Help us to better understand the enormity of what you achieved on the Cross. Help us to understand the price you paid for our freedom. Help us to celebrate the new access you have made possible to God the Father. As your followers Lord help us to live lives that reflect you. Fill us with awe we pray. Amen

Prayer (for others)

Dear Lord we pray that other may come to know you… that they will receive and believe the Good News. In particular we pray for…….. Help us to talk about you in a way that is helpful to others. Amen.

Final quote

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Philippians 2:1–2 NIV
